Scrum for the Web
International PHP Conference in Berlin
The International PHP Conference dedicates an entire day for agile topics. The 'Agile Day' contains primarily Scrum and agile engineering practices. I will give a talk "Scrum Does Not Work (For You)", about the typical misconceptions about the perception and introduction of Scrum. Dana Stoll talks about aliando, the marriage between agile principles and IT service management demands.
Well, agility is not synonymous with flexibility. The readiness for change is a different deal apart from features on-demand, minimal quality bars and the lack of long-term planning. A team needs to learn and practice a lot before being really agile. It's not sufficient, to adopt some parts of the Scrum framework and run a development unit nominally with Scrum. Agility arises fundamental changes, concerning product planning and IT service management as well. This is the topic range of this conference.
